Rachel One Love is a non-profit organization, established to help prevent child drowning and to preserve vintage reggae music. According to the ADHS, drowning is the leading cause of death for infants and young children between ages 1 – 4.
The Center of Disease Control and Prevention states that “about one of five people who die from drowning are children 14 or younger.”
*Most drownings occur in home swimming pools. The main factors that affect drowning risk are lack of swimming ability, lack of barriers to prevent unsupervised water access, lack of close supervision while swimming, location, failure to wear life jackets, alcohol use and seizure disorders. CDC 24/7 Saving Lives, Protecting People. *African American and Hispanic Children are at greater risk for such tragedies as per CPSC Data.
Based on these statistics, Vernon and myself are committed to do whatever we can to help prevent child drowning. Our test has now become our testimony. God has blessed us over the years in many many ways and we would like to be a blessing to others.
2011, we were able to sponsor the training of 12 children who learned to swim under the banner of South Kendal Kiwanis and we will continue to help sponsoring more children as long as God permits.
Going forward, we will be working closely with Ocaquatics Swim School who have been teaching South Floridians to swim since 1994.
As stated, our mission is to teach children to swim, assist families in providing safe guards around open areas of water also including alarm equipments, provide education to prevent such accidents from happening.
On a different note to continue gathering people from all races to share in our one love celebration of everlasting life. Enjoying the One Love Vibration of Regge, Kompa, Soca/Calypso, Bachela, Rock, Marenge, R&B/Hip Hop Soul Music from some of the best singers and players of instruments ever.

“Things we do today is worthwhile to inspire others to act at some future time.” Marcus Garvey.
If we can be a positive influence, a light in the dark, turn someone’s sorrow into joy as ours has been, then we would have achieved something meaningful in our life.
All praise, honor, and glory be to the Father, Creator of heaven and earth and may His peace, His joy, His love be with you and yours..until Shilo….Shalom.
